mersey from otterspool

I started taking photos of the waves of the River Mersey early in 2021, however it wasn’t until I hired a telephoto zoom lens, that this series really started. This lens gave me the reach to capture the initial set of photos of the River Mersey to spark this series. From the moment I played with the photos in post-processing I knew I had something with potential to develop and build upon.

Since then I have taken occasional walks to the same spot at Otterspool Promenade, combining an enjoyment of walking with taking photos. Although the place, spot and subject are the same, the tide level, wind strength and light are not. This has given me a variety of imagery that I hope you enjoy as a intriguing series.
