Cross Sections of Santander
At the tail-end of last summer I visited Santander in Spain for the ‘Impact’ printmaking conference.
Santander is the capital city of the Cantabria region on the northern coast of Spain, with the built up area featuring restaurants, hotels, a harbour and beaches in contrast to the other side of Santander’s coastline, which is sparse, rugged and lined with characterful rocky cliff faces.
During the week there I saw bits of the conference, but also had a bit of a wander around the city and coastline, which also meant taking lots of photos! For a while I didn’t quite know how to curate them for this blog, so I narrowed down the selection to my favourites which were mostly of details and sections rather than wider shots. I’ve ended up with what I hope still builds up a feeling of the place from my week there.
So here are the photos - I hope you enjoy them!
(P.S. I’ve decided not to caption the photos as I want the photos to speak for themselves, but if you want to ask me anything about any of the photos then please leave a comment at the bottom of this post.)
So those were my favourite photos from my week in Santander. Thank you for taking a look at this collection - if you have any thoughts or questions then please leave a comment below. I always appreciate the feedback!
